The Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1999
- Require employers to carry out risk assessments, make arrangements to implement necessary measures, appoint competent people and arrange for appropriate information and training.

The Environmental Protection Act 1990
- Establishes businesses’ legal responsibilities for waste management and the control of emissions into the environment

Low Voltage Directive(73/23/EEC)
- Covers the safe provision of electrical products which operate in the voltage range of 50 to 1000 Volts AC and 75 to 1500 Volts DC
Simple Pressure Vessels Directive (87/404/EEC)
- Covers the safe provision of simple pressure vessels that are intended to contain air or nitrogen at an internal gauge pressure greater than 0.5 Bar
Potentially Explosive Atmospheres Directive (94/9/EEC)
- Covers the safe provision of equipment and protective systems intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres

- Covers the safe provision of pressure equipment
Pressure System Safety Regulations 2000
- Require users and owners of pressure systems to demonstrate that they know the safe operating limits of their pressure systems and that the systems are safe under those conditions

Food Hygiene Regulation (852/2004)
- Lays down general hygiene requirements to be respected by food businesses at all stages of the food chain, which may include a compressed air system
