Description of activities

Tasked with providing excellent customer service to both internal and external customers, our internal sales team contribute to sales targets and profitability through the development and growth of customer relationships.

Working both reactively and proactively to meet sales targets, the internal sales team carry out core activites which include:

  • Processing sales quotations and customer orders as required for products, parts and services
  • Liaising with customers and other departments to meet agreed timescales
  • Increasing the sales and profits from the agreed customer base
  • Expanding the number of active customers
  • Ensuring customer records are maintained

Type of person required

Dealing with a wide variety of customers, which range from small engineering businesses through to large international corporations, our internal sales team team are key points of contact, handling all customer sales enquiries that come via phone, fax and e-mail.

Key skills include:

  • Friendly, positive attitude
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Ability to develop good working relationships with other departments
  • Desire to develop an in-depth understanding of their customer base
